At All Ears Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, we are dedicated to giving animals facing behavioral euthanasia a real chance. We provide these animals with a safe landing, veterinary care, love, and professional training to give them new tools and build trust. Our team of passionate individuals work tirelessly to rehabilitate these animals, offering them a second chance at a happy life.
For many, we are their absolute last hope.

Our Meaningful Work
Rescue
Saving Lives
Our rescue efforts involve intercepting behavioral euthanasia, transferring in behavioral training cases from other rescues and shelters, and often working directly with animal control and veterinary practices to be a resource for families faced with an impossible decision. We provide medical care, food, shelter, and enrichment to these animals and put together an intimate behavior modification plan for each individual that will set them up for success in their lives, and hopefully, homes.

Rehabilitation
Healing and learning
The rehabilitation process focuses on the mental, physical and emotional healing of each animal. Through specialized positive-reinforcement training, and the proper time to address behavioral issues, we help animals overcome past trauma, learn new skills and confidence, and prepare them for adoption into loving forever homes.
We follow LIMA methodology, and though most of the animals in our care come to us used to aversive methods, we help them understand a new, effective, and humane way of learning that does not cause pain.

Adoption
Finding Forever Families
We strive to match each animal with a suitable, loving family. Our adoption process is thorough, ensuring that both the animal and the adopter are set up for success, feel safe, and will thrive.
Our priority is always the animal's safety and lifetime happiness, but we do have to place them in an environment where their human families and community will be safe, too. Most of our available animals will never be placed with children in the home. Additionally, we evaluate all animals thoroughly and deem them either friendly or not friendly with dogs, small animals/cats, and livestock. We will only place animals in homes where they will not cause harm.
Most, if not all, of our available dogs are social and friendly with other dogs! In fact, many of our dogs will only be placed in homes that have other social dogs.
Sanctuary
Providing Lifelong Care
Though our goal is for all animals to have their own families and happy enedings, sometimes this is not possible. Many animals we take in are struggling with extreme fear of humans, and this fear is displayed through resource guarding and reactivity.
If an animal in our care is not adoptable, they will live with us. We take great consideration of their mental well-being--we will not allow an animal to be "alive" but not to FEEL alive. We believe that true sanctuary is a safe and fulfilling environment where these animals will no longer be triggered or pose a threat. So as long as they are happy, and their needs continue to be met in our care, all animals will be with us until their find their perfect homes or meet a peaceful, love-filled end.
Free Behavior Consultations
Preventing Surrender & Euthanasia
When possible, we will offer our expertise to families in need, at no cost. This may come in the form of direct help and training, either in-person or virtually, with the design of a behavior modification plan, researching and connecting families with local positive-reinforcement trainers and behaviorists who may be able to help, and more.
We are often limited in our ability to intake dogs in immediate need due to the high need for donations and support. However, we will always help when and how we can.
